our neighbors in Madison County will be having theirs next week beginning Monday, July 16 and continuing through Sunday, July 22. Tuesday, July 17 will be parade time beginning at 6 p.m. Cooter’s Garage Band will be there Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Paul Fincham’s Band on Thursday at 7 p.m. So check the schedule, we’re sure there will be enjoyment for everyone.
The Salem Ruritan Club recently met at their club house on Route 522 for their annual family night and awards dinner meeting. In granting their scholarships of $1,000 each, two recent graduates of Rappahannock High School were recipients, namely Amber Welch who plans to attend Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg and Jeffrey Simeon, who will be attending the College of William and Mary. Congratulations to each of you and thanks to the Ruritan Club for taking interest in our young people.
Congratulations to Miss Beth Yowell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yowell here in Boston, and a student at Bridgewater College for having made the Dean’s List, in which students must make a 3.2 average. Keep up the good work Beth!
