Mr*. Wallace Critzer, Mayor of the Town of Washington, was among the delegation of mayors who were entertained at a luncheon Sunday at Ben and Mary’s Steak House near Warrenton. After the luncheon, Bemie Mahoney, a commentator for “Big K” radio station in Warrenton, broadcast from the restaurant, interviewing the visiting mayors from the surrounding municipalities.
Sp6 Earl W. Burke, son of Mrs. Mary E. Burke of Washington is among the 4,000 men from the United States armed forces now stationed in South Vietnam. Sp6 Burke left Rhode Island by boat, crossed the Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea, Suez Canal, Red Sea, Arabiatic Sea and China Sea. He changed boats in the Philippines and landed in Vietnam, 12,000 miles from home after a voyage of 35 days.
