Town Zoning
The Town Council reviewed proposed changes to both the Town Zoning Map and to the Zoning Ordinance. The major change proposed for the map was to rezone the entire Avon Hall parcel as a “Village Services” zone, contingent upon the purchase of the property, but the Mayor also proposed placing recently annexed parcels into a “Village Residential” zone. Town Attorney Bennett suggested that no changes be made to the map until the Town’s Comprehensive Plan is reviewed and amended.
