Quite a number of our area residents attended the “Singing and Pickin'' party at Salem Fire Hall last Friday evening and report a great time as the building was full, with standing room only.

A local young man, Paul Fincham and his band did an outstanding job with their music. As always the fire department prepared food and drinks.

It might be of interest to some of our readers and especially our Woodville neighbors, that Mrs. Blondina Titchenell will be celebrating her birthday today, Wednesday. She is the widow of Rev. Gale Titchenell. a pastor for many years of the Woodville Baptist Church and also a teacher at RCHS.

Congratulations to Miss Beth Yowell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yowell of Boston. Beth is a student at Bridgewater College and she made the Dean's List for the fall semester.

Just a short distance from Reva, you will find the Brightwood Ruritan Club House. They’re having their famous ham/oyster dinner on Saturday, Feb.9. Serving time is 5 to 8 p.m.
