Conner Miller of Washington, Va., won the 70 pound Fifth-Sixth Grade Virginia Middle School State Championship this past weekend at the Old Dominion University Field house in a long, tough weekend of wrestling.
Conner is a fourth grade student at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Conner has been wrestling for four years on the Culpeper Cobras Wrestling Club. ^
The Culpeper Cobra's head coaches Roy Haun and Eric Brown, wanted Conner to go and wrestle for the experience, and what an experience it turned out to be.
This was the largest Middle School State Wrestling Championship Tbumament ever held, with over 800 wrestlers entered from across the state. Conner faced off with 19 wrestlers in the 70 pound, fifth-sixth grade bracket. Conner received a bye in the first round due to his out
