Clyde Lillard, 94, longtime resident of Flint Hill died Sunday, Feb. 3 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Flint Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Merlin Shorb officiating. Burial followed at Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Lillard was born Feb. 19, 1907 in Madison County, son of the late James W. Lillard and Betty Jenkins Lillard.
He was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
He served in the United States Army in Company C, 66th Infantry from 1928-1933.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Fincham Lillard; a son, John Lillard; three sisters, Fannie Nethers, Alice Brady and Nellie Pritchett and two brothers, Carson Lillard and Aubrey Lillard.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Lillard Jr. and a daughter, Shelby Jean Dolan; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
