Mrs. Collins was born April 17, 1934 in Front Royal, daughter of Sheriff Francis Warden and Goldie Tobin Slaughter.
She was a 1953 graduate of Warren County High School and also graduated from Strayer Business College. She served in the United States Air Force for three years.
Survivors include her husband, Philip James Collins; two sisters, Anne Slaughter McWhorter of Jekyll Island, Ga. and Sue Slaughter Howie of Conway, S.C.
