quarter lead. The excitement was short-lived however, as the home side was outscored 16 to 5 in the second quarter and went into halftime down 35 to 28.
It was a good third quarter, but the Panthers couldn't keep pace as the Rams pulled away and won the game by the final score of 73 to 54. Again Noah Starks was in double figures with 18 points, but it was senior Jeff Ritenours' 24-point effort that wfas the Panther highlight of the night.
In the end. it was still no wins in the district victory column for the team. The varsity also faces three tough games remaining in regular season play, as they attempt to finish with something in the win column.
The JV games this past week were, as Coach Mike Leake said prior to the George Mason contest, “Hugh!” Four JV teams were tied for first with two losses apiece, as the sub-varsity teams struggled for a berth in the JV Championship game at season's end.
