Janie Ray Smith, Education Consultant, visited Rappahannock on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 4 and 5, to train teachers in more effective assessment practices and techniques. She came to us from the Association of Supervisors of Curriculum Development, and brought with her a variety of proven techniques to share with our K-12 staff. Ms. Smith completed a Curriculum Audit for our school system last spring, which assessed the state of our curriculum in all areas and offered suggestions for improvement. The Grove School Council funded this important study.
