Feb. 18 is President’s Day. Feb. 12 and Feb. 22 were observed as federal holidays to honor the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
In 1971, President Nixon proclaimed one single federal holiday to be observed on the third Monday of February honoring “All” past Presidents of the United States of America. Since that change, the term has been “President’s Day”.
Mrs. Cecil Baldwin visited with her sister. Mrs. Doris Payne on Tuesday, in Kearneysville, W.Va. They enjoyed lunch at Hors’s in Martinsburg.
On Saturday Mrs. Cecil Baldwin was a luncheon guest of Mrs. Gracie Caliandro and Mark at Scrabble.
