At a May 29 Zoning ordinance work session, the Washington Town Council acceded to Town Attorney John Bennett’s wish that the request for expanded uses at the Middleton Inn be handled through an application process rather than through a direct change to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance.
Mary Ann Kuhn came before the Council at their April meeting and asked that her Middleton Inn be permitted “to provide more services to the community,” including “catering events and weddings and providing hospitality services to the community and the public.”
At that time, Mayor Willis agreed to discuss Ms. Kuhn’s request at a Zoning Ordinance work session scheduled for May 1, and at that May meeting the Council agreed to have Mr. Bennett further evaluate proposed changes to the ordinance that
