• Each year the family of Liz Tole, former extraordinary volunteer at RCES, presents the “Liz Tole Educational Excellence Award” to a deserving RCES staff member that exhibits the traits of kindness, generosity of spirit, honesty, commitment — you get the picture. These were traits possessed by Mrs. Tole that caused her to be loved by adults and children alike. Previous winners of this award have been Guidance Counselor Candace Lamma, Third Grade Teacher Cindy Simpson, Cafeteria Manager Pat Jenkins, Art Teachers Harriette Rosenblatt and Seventh Grade Teacher Lucy Ann “Pud” Maeyer. These previous winners will select this year’s recipient. The winner will be announced at RCHS graduation on June 15.
• Many thanks to RCHS nurse Margaret Wiese for her efforts to organize free sports physicals for all aspiring Middle School and High School athletes on Tuesday, June 4. Thanks to her and her generous team of volunteers that included members of the medical profession, EMT's ^nd others, this valuable service was provided to our students.
