Conner, Miller, a 10 year old, * fourth grade student at .K^ppA- , hannock Elementary School, finished fifth at the National Open Wrestling Championships held in Norfolk’s Scope Arena, May 17-19 in the 5th & 6th Grade 70 pound division.
Conner started wrestling for the Culpeper Cobras Wrestling team when he was five years old. Since that time, he has traveled the east coast and the DC Metro area with his Cobra teammates searching for top-level competition. It was an accident that Conner even got into wrestling.
Conner went with his uncle, Brooke Miller, to sign up for recleague basketball in Culpeper. The people at the basketball table told them, he was too young to play. Conner was devastated. Fortunately, the people at the wrestling table, right next door, overheard the conversation and called him over. They told Conner that he was old enough for wrestling and signed him up.
