The recent and unexpected depart ture of Rappahannock County High School Principal Joseph Perine ha# drawn expressions of regret from" parents, staff and students. According to Tom Dunn, a press offi^ cial with the New York State Education Department, an April 2002 disciplinary proceeding result? ed in the revocation of Mr. Perine’s New York teacher and administrator certification. v
Mr. Perine was given notice of the impending hearing by certified maity said Mr. Dunn, but chose not 4e appear to defend himself.
