Mr. James Eavey were present to make a few • remarks. >1 Mr. Wilbur, coach of the girls basketball team, • presented this group with their school letter; ;) Mr. Bolyard, boys coach, presented the • basketball and baseball awards and Mrs. Warren Wilbur gave the cheerleaders their letters.
Tuesday, June 12 is an election day for the town of Washington, when a mayor and six council members are to be elected. This will be a write-in vote for no candidates have qualified for the offices. Washington has been ruled by “ladies” for the ■ past 12 years. In 1950 an all-woman slate was voted into office in a write-in election.
