Burke family reunion set

The family of the late Bessie and Charles Burke will have their annual reunion at the Rappahannock Park on Sunday. June 9. “All family members and friends are welcome to come and have a good time,” said a family spokesperson.

Clay children 's camp planned

Headwaters' Board to meet

The June board of directors meeting for Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, will take place Monday. June 10 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Extension Office. The meeting is open to the public.

Wharton family to meet

The family and friends of the late Oscar. Amon, Ash, Howard, Robert, Walter. Sam and Helen Wharton will be having their annual reunion on Sunday, June 9 at the Castleton fire hall. Garden luorkshops planned

Attracting Beneficial Insects: Learn how to garden with plants that create a self-regulating, pest balancing environment. Do away with sprays and hand-picking and have a more beautiful garden at the same time! A comprehensive list of beneficial insects and their host plants will be given to each participant. The date is June 8 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and the cost is $15.

The Integrative Garden: Working with some of the principles of Permaculture, Intensive Gardening and good design, learn how to create a garden which includes plants for food, medicine, ornament and wildlife. Tour a multi-ecosystem garden and come away with plenty of inspiration and practical advice for your own gardening endeavors. Date is June 15 from 9:30-11:30 a m. and the cost is $15.
