Special to the Rappahannock News , Rappahannock Youth Soccer league played its eighth and final game of the Spring season on Saturday, June 1. The league is hosting a picnic this Saturday at Lake Arrowhead Park for all league players, coaches and families. We hope to see all there!
U-8
, Coach Hogan’s Blue Panthers finished the season off with two stand out games. Bpth played against friends and classmates. The Blue Panthers played as a cohesive unit to the delight of coaches and parents. Coach Hogan would like to keep each and every player next season, however, age restrictions would not permit that. In the final game of season, each member of the Blue Panthers scored! Talk about “balanced” play!
U-10
The U-10 Terminators played against Culpeper 3 with a spectacular ending to a great season. Brian Shafran scored 2 goals, Gary White with 1 goal and Bennett Eastham had 2 goals. Other goal scorers for this game were Austin Burdick with 1 goal and Tim Pressler had his fjrst goal of the year! Coach Caporuscio states, “the team played with a strong defense and good teamwork.” Final score Rapp 7 Culpeper 0. Season record ends at 5-0-2. * Way to go Terminators! Team players want Coach “C" Back in the Fall!
