The Rappahannock County
Education Association, the local branch of the Virginia and National Education Association, represent its instructional and support staff members in matters of professional development, curriculum and instruction and work place conditions. We, therefore, support the following:
Staff
• We support funding for health benefits and pay raises that will continually improve our standing in the state and make us more competitive.
• We support a first-class mentoring program for new teachers.
• We support an intense and sophisticated search process for school employees that has built in checks and balances.
Administration
• We support administrators declining a pay increase to show solidarity with the teaching staff when they do
