Wakefield Country Day School students began their weekend with the afternoon matinee showing of “Brother Bear,” attended by about 30 lower school children. The event was hosted by Student Government, whose officers have been making a special effort to include the younger students in school events. Older students served refreshments while the younger children viewed the film, and at the conclusion, they entertained the little ones with Musical Chairs and other games.
On Saturday evening, the prep school students attended a Mardi Gras Dance in the Leonard M. Cowherd Auditorium, complete with music and decorations.
The Wednesday Assembly this week featured April Heddleston’s second grade class, who unfurled a special landscape mural they had created in Art Class, while reciting Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is
