In late January the Piedmont United Way (PUW) began sending out applications to agencies that will be requesting funding in 2005. PUW is asking for general public input into the distribution of funds. According to PUW Executive Director, Warren J. McKeen, “An Allocations Panel makes the decisions as to what organizations are funded and at what levels. The Allocation Panel will be comprised of PUW Board Members, major donors, and members of the public who are stakeholders in the charitable process. We are seeking a total of 15 volunteers from our communities in each of the five counties to serve on the panel.” The counties are: Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock.
