On Saturday, Feb. 12, the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation hosted a public meeting at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Scrabble.
A score of neighbors and friends attended, expressing their concerns and ideas about the structure and property’s future use.
Mrs. Evelyn Dellinger’s comment best indicated the mood of the attendees, “I want the school to be like it was—a place we can be proud of. This is a very special place and should be so again.”
Others suggested varied possible uses while noting the effort involved to make their ideas happen.
