The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society is selling daffodils to benefit the American Cancer Society’s program of research, public education, advocacy and patient services. The daffodil, known as the “flower of hope,” symbolizes the triumph over cancer and the hopeful spirit that cancer patients exhibit in their personal battles against the disease.
Individuals and businesses that wish to participate in “Daffodil Days” can choose fresh cut daffodils (donation of $6 per bunch of ten) or potted bulbs (donation of $8.50 per pot). For more information or to place an order, call Lois Kerchner at (540) 675-3905.
It’s getting to be that time of year again! Rappahannock Hunt will be holding its annual Point-to-Point Races this year on Saturday, March 5, at the Bleu Rock Inn (on Rt. 211 just outside Little Washington). Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather.
