Park on Saturday to compete in the Region B tournament.

This will be the final stage before heading to Salem, Va. where coach Eric Spath is hopeful he will take several athletes for state finals.

In the 135-pound weight class, Panther Alex Sharp minor-decisioned George Mason’s Mike Coleman, 8-6, taking him into the finals match where he faced Manassas Park’s Todd Smoot.

Smoot, a two-time state champion, defeated Sharp with a major-decision.

At 145-pounds, Rapp’s Dos Allen fell to Clarke County’s Billy Crouse in a 5 - 4 minor decision.

Crouse is ranked second in the state.

Allen pinned his way through the consolation rounds, falling Manassas Park’s Miguel Bonilla in 2:43, then placed third in the District with a pin against Javar Blakey of Madison County in 2:58.
