Local attorney David L. Konick was found guilty of making an obscene suggestion with intent to harass over the phone te Combined District Court Clerk Patricia M. Davis and sentenced to 200 hours of community service in addition to a $1000 fine.
The decision was handed down Tuesday morning at the Rappahannock County District Court.
The case centered around unverifiable conflicting testimony from the victim (Davis) and the defendant (Konick).
Recused
Because both Konick and Davis are regularly involved with legal matters in Rappahannock County, Commonwealth's Attorney Peter Luke and Judge Burke McCahill had recused themselves on the grounds of knowing both victim and defendant professionally. Instead Substitute Judge Annie Lee Jacobs presided over the case while Page County Commonwealth’s Attorney John T. Hennessy represented the State. Konick was represented by attorney J.
