The Salem Fire Hall was the setting for a party Sunday, July 24 honoring Mr. Turner Foster, who celebrated his 85 birthday on Monday.

The party being hosted by his wife Eflie, her daughters and friends with around two hundred relatives and friends in attendance. Carless Webb and his Gospel String band, Rev. Jeffrey Light on his harmonica, ladies from Mt. Lebanon Church and Roger Rutherford all took part in musicals and singing along with an abundance of food and fellowship.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Robinson and son Timmy spent last week visiting his mother, Mrs. Mae Baltzinger and other relatives in Edgewater, Fla.

Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Brenda Dennis of Scrabble Road, and her family upon the loss of her father, Mr. Robert Taylor, who passed away Sunday at his residence and was laid to rest in Etlan Cemetery on Wednesday.
