Taking home the money were dale Turner of Woodville who won the grand prize of $1,000, Jackie Relaford of Culpeper won $600 and Paul Poling of AmlssvUle is $250 to the good.
One of the parade organizers, Michelle Jenkins, reported that carnival queen ticket sales brought in roughly $6,000 but a final tally had not been completed yet on all monies

These parades and associated carnivals are mqjor fund raisers for the Rappahannock fire and rescue companies.
As summer wanes and the parades and carnivals wrap up for another year, the community can count the dollars raised for their local fire companies and remember the fun that. these old-fashioned family gatherings always bring.
