preserve at-risk farm land and open space and place them in easement, including the purchase of easements and assistance to landowners with upfront costs associated with seeming a conservation easement. Funds raised at this event will be matched by a generous grant from a local private foundation, which has pledged to support the work of the fund by contributing $1 for every $2 raised. The fund has already completed its first conservation project: assisting a local farm family that wanted to preserve its agricultural legacy in placing an easement on their 100-acre farm, Belle Acres, last January.
