Opening of School The Facilities Committee of the School Board and I met with the OWPR Architects and Lantz Construction at RCES late this afternoon (Monday, August 15). There are a number of reasons that it is not yet safe for staff, students and community members to be in RCES, so we will not start school on August 29 as planned. We have decided to start school with students in attendance on Tuesday, September 6. New teachers will report back to work on Tuesday, August 23. Returning employees will report to work on Friday, August 26, starting at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and at 9:00 a.m. for an AllEmployee meeting at RCHS. Other important dates Wednesday, August 31 6:30 p.m. - Kindergarten Orientation at RCES 7:00 p.m. - 8th Grade Orientation at RCHS Thursday, September 1 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. And 6:00 p.m. -8:00
