J.W. s girt was music. He could play the banjo, or, as everybody called it, the "banja,” and, more important to me, he could play the guitar. Many people who knew J.W. will remember his love of music, and his ability to play. To that end, music helped define who he was.
At the time, no one in my family played any kind of music. I was awed by the fact that J.W.’s brothers, Arthur and Moffett, could also play, and Uncle Clarence, too.
