The definition of “big stuff” in the current cheerleading world is illustrated minutes later, as senior Jaime Jacobs is tossed by her teammates almost to the ceiling of the RCHS gym and then safely caught again.
“People have a lot more respect for cheer-leading now,” said Pullin.
The Panthers squad has big plans this year, with eleven seniors returning to the team.
“I want to place this year at state.” said Pullin. Many of these returning seniors are also members of the Varsity football team, who have been going to two practices in the fall for four years. The close relationship between football and cheerleading is facilitated by the fact that Kemp Pullin, Bonnie's husband, is the football coach.
