At this writing. Rappahannock County Public County schools are scheduled to open on Tue sday, September 6. Rumors are rampant about its readiness. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bob Chappell is working hard to ensure that it opens next week but construction challenges and some water damage will dictate that students and staff will most likely be inconvenienced. Inconvenience is one thing. Safety is another. County building inspector Ritchie Burke has been on the scene as well as numerous other1 inspecting agencies to make sure that once opened all will be well for employees and students.
