Tough turn
for bikers
August 26, 11:30 a.m. Lyle Kimms, 43, of Arlington, VA was driving westbound on US-211 in the vicinity of Turn Bridge on his 2004 Honda RC51 when he lost control of his bike, taking a turn at excessive speed. Kimms ran off the right shoulder of the road and was ejected from his motorcycle. Kimms received minor injuries and was charged with reckless driving.
August 28, 4:30 p.m. Christopher Begley, 40, of Alexandria, VA was driving eastbound on US-211 when he lost control of his Suzuki EX800 motorcycle due to excessive speed as he went around a bend in the road. He ran off the right shoulder of US 211, striking a guard rail before being ejected from his motorcycle. Begley was transported to Fauquier Hospital with broker bones and charged with reckless driving.
August 28, 1:45 p.m. Michael Ben Ary, 29, of Arlington, VA was driving eastbound on US-211 when his 2005 Nissan Xterra was struck head on by a 2005 Yamaha Motorcycle driven by Luan Phan, 25, of Alexandria, VA . Phan was driving on US211 heading in the opposite direction, and lost control of his motorcycle taking a curve at excessive speed, crossing the double line into the path of Ben Ary. Phan received only minor injuries and was charged with reckless driving.

August 21- Police responded to complaints that Phillip Pullen, 32, of Castleton, VA had been brandishing a weapon at the residence of a married female acquaintance who is 35. The weapon reports proved untrue but State Trooper Derek Mauck escorted the victim to the magistrate to testify about the event. Pullen also went before the magistrate to give his side of the events, and Trooper Mauck and the Magistrate found cause to charge Pullen with stalking and issue a protective order against him for the victim.

August 23, 3:30 p.m. Sean Doyle, 18, of Linden, VA was crossing US-211 in a 1997 Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of US 211 and Rt. 626 when he pulled out in front of the 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Bonnie Cordoni of Flint Hill, 50. Cordoni’s vehicle struck Doyle s Wrangler in the side, towards the rear. Doyle s car sustained around $4, 000 in damages and Cordoni's car suffered $8, 000 in damage. Doyle was charged with failure to yield right of way.
