Barton to speak
at Library Series

Craig Barton, Associate Professor of architecture and urban design and the Director of the Urban Studies Program at the University of Virginia, will join the panel discussion on “Scrabble School: Respect for the Past, a Dream for the Future” this coming Friday, January 13 at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Library. Through his practice, research, and teaching, Barton investigates issues of cultural and historical preservation and their interpretation through architectural design. Much of his practice focuses on assisting communities to preserve and interpret their significant African-American cultural resources. The event is co-sponsored by the Rappahannock Association fore the Arts and the Community (RAAC) and the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation.
