Society’s Relay for Life Team Captains will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p. m. at the Washington Baptist Church.
Anyone can do it.
Attendance is encouraged and welcomed for those community members who are thinking about participating as a team captain in the relay.
The overall plans and preparations for the upcoming Relay will be discussed at this Kick-Off Meeting. Team packages and information to help your team get started will be available. '
The Relay for Life is the annual fund raising event of the Rappahannock County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. The Relay will take place at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on May 20-21.

The Rappahannock County Garden Club is offering classes in “Very Basic Flower Arranging” starting Wednesday Jan. 25 and running for the next six Wednesdays through March 8. Classes, open to club members and interested community residents alike, will be held in Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington at 11 a. m. Please call Susan Jones, 675-3152, to reserve a space. Cost is $30 for the series. Class size is limited.
Birthday wishes for the month of January go out to Beverly Exline who will celebrate her day on Jan. 12, Danny Huff who will celebrate his day on Jan. 18 and to Anne Clatterbuck whose day will be celebrated on Jan. 19.
