George H. Sharp Washington resident George Hand Sharp, 85, of Washington, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 3, at Fauquier Hospital. Mr. Sharp was bom December 26, 1920, in Washington, D.C., the youngest son of Vice Admiral and Mrs. Alexander Sharp V. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1943, with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree, and in 1953, received a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He was a registered professional engineer in the District of Columbia from 1960 until 1975. His naval service of 26 years included command of three destroyers and the USS Ajax, flagship of Service Squadron 7, U.S. Seventh Fleet. He was chief
