Ruritan Club
to be formed
There will be an organizational meeting on January 16 at 7 p.m. at the Chester Gap Fire and Rescue Department to form a newly chartered Ruritan Club in the Chester Gap community. All those interested or able are highly encouraged to attend and become involved.
Honorary fire chief and beauty pageant
That’s right ladies, it’s back already, it’s almost time once again for the Chester Gap Vol. Fire and Rescue Department’s Annual Honorary Fire Chief Pageant! This year the pageant is being directed by our own lovely, and many times over a winner in her own regard, Janie Phillips. You may remember her better as Janie Wines but she’s still the same Janie as we all knew and just as “excitable” as ever. Personally I love working with Janie because her enthusiasm is just well, let’s just call it overly contagious. Seriously she is a great lady and I believe that the department is very lucky to have her this year.
