15-4. With two players missing from the roster, Rappahannock played short-handed, but got an excellent defensive effort from Natalie Tupper, who started the season on the Junior Panthers team. The offense, however, is still inconsistent. In Thursday’s loss to Madison, the Lady Panthers hit only 7 of 21 attempts from the line. Against George Mason, a 37-25 defeat, they sank just 7 of 15 shots.
“We’ve been close,” Shaw added. “We’re hoping to be better the second time around against these teams. We’re working on the offense more in practice.”
