Lately, I’ve been finally able to just sit back and well, ponder some thoughts for a while, which happens to be something I’m rather good at. One remembrance leads to another and I got to recalling some of the more light-hearted “events” I’d had the great fortune to be a part of over my childhood years up here on the mountain.
Of mice and men
There was the time that a former chief of the fire department and me were at the fire house late one evening after having gone over the trucks and situating a few things when we heard a horrible squalling and squealing coming from what at the time seemed right over our heads. We got a little nervous at first but then finally saw what it was - two mice were having a fight along the back wall.
