The Rappahannock County
Board of Equalization
Any person interested in being considered to serve as a member of the Rappahannock County Board of Equalization should submit a resume or letter of interest to the Clerk’s Office, Rappahannock County Circuit Court, 238 Gay St., P.O. Box 517, Washington, VA 22747 no later than January 31, 2006.
Applicants must be freeholders in the County of Rappahannock and shall attend and participate in the basic course of instruction given by the Department of Taxation pursuant to Virginia Code Section 58.1-206. Thirty percent of the members of the board shall be commercial or residential real estate appraisers, or other real estate professionals, builders, developers, or legal or financial professionals. No member of the Board of Assessors shall be eligible for appointment to the Board of Equalization for the same reassessment.
