Then there was the time that a certain little boy, well he was young anyway, was walking up the mountain to get home when he spotted an old discarded tire laying in the weeds along side the road. Looking back, I’m pretty sure that incidents like I’m about to relate are why they started picking up trash along the roadways, to stop it from tempting young boys into mischief. Anyhow, that boy was suddenly possessed, as he says, by the overwhelming urge to roll that same tire down the road which also just happened to be the side of the mountain. Thoughts of what effects this tire rolling wildly down the road might have on the traffic coming up the road never crossed his mind. So still gripped by this ever increasing urge he struggled to remove the tire from the weeds and brush and dragged it out into the middle of the road.
