The Planning Commission considered seven (7) applications for Special use Permits, which resulted in voted by the Board of Zoning Appeals for three approved Family Apartments (with one denied), one approved tourist home, one approved Bed and Breakfast and one approved professional office. The Commission had recommended all of these results.
• The Planning Commission initiated two separate sets of amendments to the Zoning Chapter of the Rappahannock County Code. The first concerned clarifying amendments to the provisions concerning family apartments, while the second concerned amendments adding additional standards to applications to private sewage treatment facilities. The first amendments were approved by the Board of Supervisors, the second are pending before the Board.
