to Conduct Survey

The Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watershed (RappFLOW) will mail a twopage questionnaire to residents and landowners in the upper Thornton River watershed on January 30.

January 29: Softball sign ups!

Piedmont Softball Association will be conducting spring program registrations for all interested girls residing in Rappahannock, Culpeper, and Fauquier counties from 1pm - 3 pm each Sunday, January 29, February 5, and February 12, at Bill Payne Auction Gallery on Rt. 211 in Amissville.

Girls between the ages of five and eighteen years (as of January 1, 2006) and ALL levels of skill are welcome; girls new to Piedmont must present their original birth certificate at the time of registration. Sign-up fees are $40. for girls registering to play ages 5 through 12 and $45. for girls to playing 13-18; multiple registrants from the same household will receive discounts. Inability to pay fee will not prevent any girl from registering, however. Piedmont Softball Association is a Babe Ruth Softball affiliate and provides regular spring and fall season schedules within its own league, as well as with any other interested leagues. For interested spring players, there is also an All-Star tournament trail for all age teams, as well as World Series for some age levels.
