Accounting Technician
Duties include auditing, reviewing and encoding data from source documents into the County's financial accounting system (FAMIS); working with vendors and department contacts to research and resolve inquiries regarding payment of invoices, reviewing and reconciling vendor statements for accurate and timely payments. and preparing accounts payable checks to be distributed to vendors. May participate on teams and special projects, reconcile petty cash, reconcile various large accounts and/or internal processes, and crosstrain in payroll. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma and 4 years experience in accounting clerical work.
