GIS Specialist
Plans and manages GIS projects. Develops project plans including research and data collection strategies, staffing requirements, quality control, and deliverables. Supervises project staff, reports progress, and documents project including metadata. Maintains or supervises the maintenance of spatial data sets. Develops analyses, models, and maps in support of county projects. Develops or assists with the development of curriculum and training material, and conducts in-house GIS training. Develops support tools and programs to improve workflow in county departments. Requires bachelors degree in Geography or related field and two years experience.
