When your high school girls basketball team has three victories, being a little discouraged is only natural.
Don’t tell that to Rappahannock County head coach Rhonda Jenkins.
“These girls have a great attitude, a great work ethic,” said Jenkins after her Lady Panthers scored a 44-38 overtime win over visiting Bull Run District rival Madison Thursday night. “They want to win, and they give everything that they can. I’m focused on the district right now. If we win the next few games, we could finish third in the district.”
The victory left Rappahannock with a 2-2 district mark (3-11 overall), with away games scheduled tonight at Manassas Park and Tuesday night at Strasburg.
