Kid Pan Alley—a Ki Theatresponsored musical group that grew out of a songwriting residency at the Rappahannock Elementary School—has created a tidal wave of songs around the country with its unique discovery that “kids made the greatest co-writers, especially when you are writing sanjgs for kids.” With honors galore, including a Grammy nomination last yeanfoty t:tts GD, Tidal Wave of Song, Rid Pan Alley returned to its roots this past X weekend at the SchoolHouse in | Sperry vilie for two standing-room '. only concerts.' ■ *' :1 , - - ' - ■
. This past weekend’s concert* were free and a gift to the community, sponsored by Ki Theatre in partnership with the Rappahannock ^Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC). Featured • . artists included Paul Reisler and the Kid Pan Alley Band, with professional musicians Terri Allard, Nate Brown, Steve van Dam, Will Hopkins, Chris Moyles, Linda Orfila, and Smiggy Smith providing vibrant music and voice to the group.
