the top rim (narrow end) of shell with a knife handle. Remove cracked top of the shell. Pour egg from the shell and reserve to use in your favor recipe. Rinse the eggshells and return to egg carton to dry. The shells may be used as vases in antique or contemporary eggcups. Eggcup vases may also be dyed with regular egg dye or food coloring (use vinegar to stabilize color) or other natural food dyes for coloring. Eggcup flower-filled vases look great placed in a flat container of grass for an attractive centerpiece throughout the spring months.
Birthday wishes go out to a dear friend of mine, Lois Alther. She will be celebrating her day on Friday, April 6. Lois Alther and I used to work together at the Aileen plant in Flint Hill. We had many memories of that place and still today often talk about it. Happy Birthday Lois!
