Flint Hid Volunteer Fire Department seeking young ladies (1-21) and young men (1-8) to participate in their annual Carnival. Contestants will be selling raffle tickets on the 2007 Colorado Pick-up truck and the heifer. For more information contact Karen Williams at 540-635-4673 and leave a message. The carnival date is set for Aug. 15-18.

Spring Shooting Matches

Each Friday through May 18, at 7 p. m., the Castieton Community Volunteer Fire Department located at 593 Castieton View Road, will be having their shooting matches. 12-gauge shotguns, no scopes or sleeves. Neat prizes. For more information, phone Joe Peregory at 540-937-6163.

Repertory Auditions

Auditions for the Shakespearean Panorama will take place at Cliff Miller’s School House in Sperryviile. Saturday, March 31.10 until 1 — Current students in the acting classes Sunday, April 1, from 12 until 5 p.m.—Youngsters from 4 to 9 years of age who would like to be fairies and forest fofc, as well as adult actors and all young actors who have not been in the classes.
