Dominion will take property along the side of what is already there, and if there is not enough room, they will make the towers even taller. They will not consider just upgrading the current power line to handle a heavier wire.
I would have much less objection to an upgrade, if Dominion could prove to me that they actually need this power for Northern Virginia, but so far, they have not. The data clearly shows that Virginia will not require additional power over and above that we currently have, and that we will not receive the power carried by this line.
This line affects all of us in Rappahannock, whether we live near it or not. ,
Please help out. Let Dominion know we are not “the path of least resistance.”
