CMD003 A dynamic and growing community in the scenic Blue Ridge of Virginia is seeking an experienced self-motivated professional. This position will oversee the staff management for the Planning Division of Fauquier County's Department of Community Development. The division is responsible for both comprehensive and current planning, including Comprehensive Plan updates, rezoning, special exceptions, subdivision review, and Comprehensive Plan and subdivision ordinance text amendments. This position will be responsible for key land development applications and coordination of technical review by case managers. Applicants must have excellent technical writing and public communication skills, due to direct work with the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors and citizen groups. Qualified applicants should have experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in urban planning, landscape architecture, or other related field and extensive professional planning experience including supervisory responsibilities. A Master's Degree is preferred. Starting salary range is $70,074 to $91,104 with excellent benefits.
